faulty Studio projects C1

I have a Studio Projects C1 mic which works for about 20 seconds then suffers a dramatic loss in power and tone , the Mic has to be left unplugged for quite some time before it will work for 20 secs again. It is being used with the same akai dps that it`s always been used with, and my otheR phantom powered mics work OK. Would anyone know wich component on the mics internal circuit board might need replacing? I live in the UK and am not sure whether I can get this serviced as it`s out of warranty
