Tips on choosing Miniature Microphones

In this material we are going to make a presentation of the miniature microphones. We chose to talk about a model that we considered being the best. This model is called the DPA 4060, which is an omni-directional miniature microphone and it is the white version of the 4060-WM model.

This miniature microphone’s size, taken into consideration the DPA, has been excellently engineered so that it can obtain an outstanding noise floor of 23 dB (A) re.20 µPa and also an impressive sensitivity of 20 m V/Pa. The great thing about this miniature microphone is that if it is powered correctly, it can handle pressure levels up to 134 dB SPL before clipping occurs. Another thing that is worth mentioning here is that the DPA 4060 is the winner of Product of the Year Award 1997 from TCI and it was also nominated for TEC award in 1997.
