multi mic follow me for voice recognition system

I am trying to find out a way to use multiple microphones in a voice recognition system for home automation.

I want to be able to go from room to room and have the microphones switch, through a switching circuit I have designed, (USB or Line In), and still have the computer respond to each mic.

But my question is this, will the computer recognize each individual mic if I use the same driver and the exact same mic's?
