Problems with APEX 460 Condenser Microphone

I've been trying to record with an APEX 460 condenser mic and have not gotten a proper tone. The tone I get is thin and tinny sounding. I've experimented and have determined that the problem is definitely in the mic. I was wondering if you had any insight as to what the problem might be or if you have any thoughts of other ways I could fix the tone myself. Thanks.

Tube Burn In
by: Anonymous

Let the mic burn in overnight (leave it plugged in and turned on). Before every use, let it warm up for 45 minutes before using it. This will make a big difference..
