Surveillance microphone – how to use them effectively

This material is going to be about the surveillance microphone. First, we are going to talk about the surveillance system, which is the process of monitoring the behavior of people,

objects or even processes within systems for conformity to expected or desired norms in trusted systems for security or social control. Actually, the term “surveillance” is French for to “watch from above” and it started to be used for all forms of observation or monitoring, not just visual ones.

The surveillance microphone is that device that is used for observation from a distance by means of electronic equipment. We are now going to make a brief presentation of two models of this type of mic.

The first model is the UHF-001 and it is a highly miniaturized UHF transmitter. It has an excellent audio performance and also has a limiter incorporated. This surveillance microphone can pick up sounds from 200 (WFM) up to 500 (NFM) meters in open field thanks to its power output. You should pay attention how you use this device because its performance depends on the environmental conditions and the sensitivity of the receiver utilized. Some technical information about the UHF-001 would be that its power is of 1 to 5 Volt and its emission frequency UHF is from 400 to 480 MHz. Also, its modulation type is WFM/NFM.

The other model of surveillance microphone is the UHF – 001A, which is also a highly miniaturized UHF transmitter. What makes it different from the other model is that it has integrated a lithium battery whose lifetime is of about 5-6 days. It has an excellent amplification control. It should be mentioned that that in order to obtain maximum performance, you should utilize their own receivers. Its modulation type is WHM.
