USB wireless mic for teaching?

Does anyone has any thoughts or suggestions about the kind of mic I'm looking for?
As a teacher, I'm using a mic that's connected to a pc to help project my voice during lessons. However, I'm tied down to the desk which is not very ideal as I need to move around to interact with my students.
I've tried using a long cable which is less than ideal.
Can anyone tell me what kind of mic I should go for?
Is it USB wireless mic? What brands are available out there?
