Using Apex 182 Usb Mic with Cool Edit Pro?

by Taryn

im having trouble setting up My Apex182 USB microphone to Cool Edit PRo.
I selected the Usb Input in device options and Press record but all i get is silence on the monitors, I can cleary see the wave file being formed. And when i do play the wave back its Peaked; playing straight red witht he sound it picks up.

Does Anyone Know How To/ Or if it is possible to get this Apex 182 USB mic to run with Cool Edit Pro?
How can I get it to monitor what im recording?
Where Are the Controls For The USB Volume??

Help!!!

Please and Thanks in Advance!!

Gain NEW

That last comment is rubbish... what you need to do is set the input gain for the microphone... there's nothing in windows control panel to do that. All the level controls you see in there are for digial audio, this is an input stage issue... I'm having the same problem.
