Collecting Vintage Microphones

vintage microphone Vintage microphones are a fun way to create a collection of something that not many people have even thought about doing. Your collection can create a great conversational piece as well as add some spice to your home décor. You can find vintage pieces in many different places and in many different forms so the thought of actually starting a collection is far from impossible.

You can score some great pieces at places like your local swap meets or auctions, and there are plenty of places to find some unique and one of a kind vintage microphones on the internet. eBay is a wonderful place to start and the prices vary anywhere from $10 to over $500 depending on what you are looking for.

It is usually a good idea to read product reviews and compare specifications on these types of products before you make a decision on which one to purchase however in the case of collecting items like vintage microphones, it would not be necessary unless you actually plan on using the product.

The Shure brand has a big claim on vintage microphones and you can find them by doing an online search through your favorite search engine. From broadcasting microphones to simple personal vintage microphone use microphones, they are all out there and waiting for a good home where they can be polished and put out for everyone to see!

The older vintages microphones get, the more they are worth so think of your vintage collection as an investment. With time your collection will grow in value and before you know it you will have a pretty cool non traditional family heirloom to pass down for generations to come.
