what is the best karaoke mic

My husband bought me a karaoke machine for my birthday last year. I love music and I love to sing. However, I have a yucky singing voice so I am looking for a karaoke mic that makes me sound not so terrible!! Is there anything out there that would make a difference so I can use my machine and not make it so painful for my family to listen to? I am using the standard mic that came with the machine purchased at Target for $100.
