what mic should i use to record the vibrations of ie a chain fence or a window

by nina west
(manchester)

i am a composer for theatre and i have been asked to do a community project involving a new theatre community centre i thought it would be a cool idea to record the vibrations of the building at its different stages of development the effect building machines have on distant fences for example or windows but i have no idea what sort of mic would be suitable for this job have you any ideas something that could record sounds beyond human hearing would be amazing as then i could re pitch the recording to hear it
thank you very much for any help you can give
