Will my ps2 microphone work for myspace karaoke?

I just got on Myspace Karaoke and I didn't have a mic. to record. Then I found a Rockband mic. and a Singstar mic. and I'm wondering If either will be compatible with myspace kareoke. I don't want to spend the extra cash if I don't have to. I inserted the Singstar one into the computer and it worked but then it stopped? What happened? Does anyone out there know?
