Wireless microphone system for the stage

I belong to an amateur theatrical group.
We propose miking our singers on the occasions when we produce musicals or variety shows.
Have no idea where to begin.
Can anyone please suggest a system that will suffice the needs of a 200 seat theatre?

I am the AV technician for a high school. When we run our musicals we found the over the ear headset mics work best. The mic is thin and almost disappears from ten feet away and further. We purchased Electrovoice RE2 Wireless systems and have been quite pleased with them. They price out at just under $700 Canadian, each.
